My BFF, Trisha asked me if I would attend Lori Foster’s Reader and Author Get Together.  I immediately said yes without even knowing which authors would be there.  Trisha is attending for the sole reason to meet Karen Marie Moning.

After research all the authors.  I am a little bit of a geek and listed them all in an excel spreadsheet to track the ones I want to meet.  I was delighted to find Donna Michaels on the list as I have read two of her books. Nineteen of the authors I have contacted have agreed to be interviewed.   *Squeeeeee

Below is a list of the authors I will be interviewing with a link to their website.  If you recommend a question for the interview and I decide to use it, I will mention your name in the Facebook Live interview.

Lori is the host of the annual Readers and Authors Get Together.  This year the event sold out in under 10 minutes!!!!  Lori has also been soooo gracious.  She offered to be available for an interview.  I was too intimidated to ask since you is famous. I would LOVE to have you join us on Facebook live as I interview each of the ladies.  Each one is so special and unique from cancer survivors, to purple hair, to riding a Harley 3200 miles, to a Harvard graduate,  to living the same state as I do and I didn’t even know it.

Below I share a little about each author and at the bottom I share the interview schedule if you want to plan your Friday and Saturday around the interviews.  I would highly recommend that!!!

Tina Desalvo  I spent my 25 plus year journalism career focusing on what other people were doing  I’m now launching my fiction writing career and I feel it has been a long time coming. I grew up in one of the distinctive neighborhoods of New Orleans. It was after graduation from college that I moved into Cajun Country to take a job as a broadcast journalist. I started my broadcasting career as a play-by-play football and basketball sports announcer and anchor at a small market television station. I have been told—but I have never confirmed this—that I was the first female to do so in Louisiana.  I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer

When you purchase Elli, the Second Chances Series, you will be helping in the FIGHT AGAINST BREAST CANCER! All the profits of this book will go to the Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and will be used for those people who are in the fight of their lives.

Callie Hutton – USA Today bestselling author, Callie Hutton, author of more than thirty historical romance books, writes humorous and spicy Regency with “historic elements and sensory details” (The Romance Reviews). Callie lives in Oklahoma with two rescue dogs and her top cheerleader husband of many years. Her family also includes her daughter, son, and daughter-in-law. And her three year old twin grandsons “The Twinadoes.”

My historical romances are full of heat, humor, and quirky characters. I’ve always loved history, which was my college major. Things of the past fascinate me. Not those boring history classes in high school, but the history of people. How they lived their lives, what they ate, what they wore, the challenges they faced, what they worried about.

Jocie Mckade – I’m the author of romantic comedies and cozy humorous mysteries. I love to laugh at life and I think romance should always be fun.

I live in the boonies of the Midwest USA surrounded by cornfields, cattle and chickens. We have a small farm I lovingly call, Dust Bunny Farm.

I met my husband under the hood of a car. I love cars and he was a mechanic, you might say we were a match made in RPM heaven.

I read the Mayson-Dickson series.

Donna Michaels – It’s all my mother’s fault. She read to me before I could read and opened up that magical world where I still reside today. Then came television and movies. Now I had three avenues that fed my imagination…and boy could I eat! As you no doubt figured out, this lead to my writing career. I’m a NY Times, USA Today, and Amazon Bestselling Award winning author. Phew, that was a mouthful! Multi-published in e-book and print with several publishers, I certainly have a ton of voices in my head.

I’m happily married to a military man for 28 years. We have four children and several rescued cats. Michael’s been in the Army National Guard since before he graduated. The Guard has been a part of our lives right from the start. It was only natural for the military to spill into my writing. God bless the military and their families. Thank you all for your sacrifices. ♥

You already know my mom inspired my love of reading, but it was my dad who got me hooked on movies. Even now, if I had the time, I could happily go from one movie to another all day long. They are the reason I love mixed genre and why I can’t just stick to just one in my writing, although, as you can tell, I have a soft spot for cowboys and the military.

Cindi Madsen – Fun, Flirty and a little bit Nerdy- USA Today Bestselling author of contemporary romance and young adult novels. She sits at her computer every chance she gets, plotting revising, and falling in love with her characters. Sometimes it makes her a crazy person. Without it, she’d be even crazier. She has way too many shoes, but can always find a reason to buy a new pretty pair, especially if they’re sparkly, colorful, or super tall. She loves music, dancing, and wishes summer lasted all year long. She lives in Colorado (where summer is most definitely NOT all year long) with her husband and three children.

Violet Howe enjoys writing romantic suspense and romantic women’s fiction, both with healthy doses of humor. She lives in Florida with her knight in shining armor and their two handsome sons. They share their home with three adorable but spoiled dogs. When she’s not writing, Violet is usually watching movies, reading, or planning her next travel adventure. You can follow Violet’s ramblings on her blog, The Goddess Howe.

Before dedicating myself to writing full-time, I spent fifteen years immersed in wedding planning and five years teaching in a middle-school classroom–both of which gave me countless stories and experiences to draw from for writing inspiration!

I am happily married to a man I consider My Knight in Shining Armor, and I am a mother to a teenage son whose intelligence, wit, and finesse with sarcasm amazes me daily. We share our home (and live in servitude for) our three insanely spoiled dogs.

I absolutely love to travel, and planning a trip is almost as much fun for me as actually going. I am a fanatic about all things movies–quotes, trailers, awards shows, midnight premieres, marathons, trivia, the smell of popcorn. If it’s movie-related, I’m in.

I’m a drama queen. A hopeless romantic. Chronically late despite my best intentions. Moderately disorganized. I’m passionate and loyal. I love to laugh and I cry at pretty much anything remotely sappy. I love stories with happy endings, and I believe we can change the world if we try.

When she’s not writing, she’s at the shooting range or on the river.

Monette Michaels A Hoosier born and raised, Monette lives in the heartland near Indianpolis, Indiana.

After obtaining her law degree, she worked in a small general practice, attempting in her own way to right wrongs and fight the good fight. Little did she realize that all those clients, opposing counsel and the problems she handled would jump start the need to write fiction. But after twenty years in law, she did just that — started writing. First, romantic suspense, then adding paranormal romance and science fiction romance, then adding a sexier side (as Rae Morgan).

She still practices law – – but writing is her passion. Monette is married to her college sweetheart and has one son and a cat. The cat is the boss. Monette (and Rae) love to hear from her fans. Rae Morgan has her own Author Central page, please visit her there. I’m an attorney with a science background and my husband is a pathologist.
