Summary
The Wedding Shop is the third book in the Wedding series. Although it could be read alone; it is much more enjoyable to read the books in order as the author does an astounding job of weaving all three of the books together. It may be one of Rachel Hauck’s absolute best books. There were definitely plot twist that I did not see coming and for a voracious reader, that's always a thrill. There are two stories taking place that are decades apart. We are following Cora from the Great Depression era and Haley from the present. You cannot help but love Cora and how she is such a strong female for that timeframe. It was inspirational how she was able to impact so many lives. Cora inherited The Wedding Shop from her aunt and ran it with her mom and some of the local women. Haley was from the present and was trying to find herself after collage, military losing her best friend and boyfriend. When the author reveals Haley’s backstory with Dax it absolutely broke my heart. That was probably the most touching part of the story for me. You don’t see many stories told from her perspective. Haley had a very interesting set of parents. The stories she would tell about her mom were comical. Haley has decided to try and re-open the Wedding Shop. I was thrilled to see Charlotte from the Wedding Dress play a role in the story.
