As a detective in Chicago, J.T. Logan had put away a lot of criminals—and had made a lot of enemies. However, the last thing the widowed father and current small-town sheriff expected was crime in his own backyard. Until his young daughter was kidnapped.
FBI agent Madison Spencer found herself working with J.T. again, on a case painfully different from their previous one. She could only watch as he struggled to remain coldly professional while his heart was in anguish. And what of her own heart? Romance should be the furthest thing from their minds. All she could do was hope—and pray—for them all.

Summary
Compelling characters and a story that draws you in from the first chapter. It is every parent’s worst nightmare. Once started it is hard to quit. You are on the edge of your seat wondering if they will find Ashley and what is happening to her. We go from no suspects to several that seem suspicious. The author did great job of adding a realistic romance to a very tough situation. It was very action packed and realistic family issues. I really enjoyed the book; but it could be hard for some parents to read.
Violence- I rated it a 3 since it is a child that is kidnapped. there is one death, a missing person, 2 kidnappings. There are several scenes where her dad is worrying about what could be happening to her. Intense.
Sexual -Kissing and hugging.
Drug & Alcohol - One of the characters is a recovered alcoholic. Another character briefly mentions what it was like for her childhood with a dad that was an alcoholic.
