When librarian Laura Griffith’s sixteen-year-old sister disappears on a frigid February day, leaving only a brief note behind, Laura resolves to do whatever it takes to track down the runaway teen. That includes recruiting ATF agent turned PI James “Dev” Devlin to help. But the deeper he digs, the more he begins to suspect that something sinister is at work in the girl’s disappearance. And the closer he gets to uncovering the truth, the clearer it becomes that the situation isn’t just dangerous–it’s deadly.
Chilling and at times terrifying, Trapped is the latest thrilling read from Irene Hannon, the queen of romantic suspense. Hannon outdoes herself with this fast-paced tale of fear, deception, and just the right dose of romance.

Summary
Overall Trapped is the second book in the Private Justice series featuring Pheonix Investigations. This is Devin’s story. He is a former ATF agent who is till trying to
recover from his last undercover mission. Trapped deals with teen runaways and is realistic in the issues they face. Hannon provides information and statistic within the
story that are very sobering. Darcy, 16 runs away from her halfsisters house. Laura hires Dev to try and find her. Hannon created great romantic tension between the
characters while keeping the book clean. Hannon produced a world of interesting characters, lighthearted moments and nail biting danger that kept you glued to the pages.
Laura was a very likable character, she was a librarian with a fun hobby (I won’t spoil that surprise for you). I loved the camaraderie between the men of Phoenix, Cal, Conner and Dev. Nikki, the assistant, is also a great addition as a secondary character woven throughout the series. The villain was creepy and intriguing. I have
not read a Hannon book so far that I did not like. This book lived up to my expectations of great writing, suspenseful mystery and a sweet romance.
Violence It was nail biting danger. There were deaths both present and past.
Language
Sexual Great romantic tension.
