Summary
Alice is a down to earth single woman living in London in the catering business. She reconnects with a handsome crush from her childhood, Joe, and he sweeps her off her feet and they marry. Joe doesn't want Alice to work and wants her to be fashionable and always look put together, which is a change from the way Alice used to dress. Alice changes herself to make Joe happy, and then finds out later that Joe has been unfaithful. After having an affair with a co¬worker Joe is forced to relocate to New York, so they move.
