Don’t miss a sneak peek of Sycamore Row, John Grisham’s new novel inspired by A Time to Kill, in the back of the book.
The life of a ten-year-old girl is shattered by two drunken and remorseless young men. The mostly white town of Clanton in Ford County, Mississippi, reacts with shock and horror at the inhuman crime. Until her black father acquires an assault rifle and takes justice into his own outraged hands.
For ten days, as burning crosses and the crack of sniper fire spread through the streets of Clanton, the nation sits spellbound as young defense attorney Jake Brigance struggles to save his client’s life–and then his own.

Summary
Overall have been translated into 29 languages and published worldwide.[6] A Time to Kill by John Grisham 528 pages published in 2004 Grisham’s first book, a very good one in it’s own right. The next two were blockbusters but this was a very good book. Need to read it. His background as an attorney helps in all of his books. The main character, an attorney, fights to save the life of his client when revenge killing against a heinous crime happens…takes place in a small Mississippi town, lot’s of racial tension
