Summary
The final book of A Secret Refuge trilogy continues the story of Jessalynn Highwood and her siblings as they do what is necessary to survive the years of the Civil War. The plot line continues to be strong, yet it seemed like the story got wrapped up too quickly¬¬there was more to the story I wanted to have told. Maybe there just wasn't enough to warrant another novel, so it had to be ended as it was. Some parts aren't a surprise at all¬¬the reader could pretty much tell where the plot was going; other parts were a bit of a surprise. This wasn't the best of the three novels because of the overall feeling that this story just had to be over and done. Yet, I still love the characters and the overall good message it gives. Much to stop and think about.
