Summary
Texas Prey by Barbara Han is an action packed mystery. The opening scene will capture your attention. Rebecca and her brother where kidnaped 15 years ago. She was able to get away but they have not seen her brother since. Her family has been torn apart. Great inside look at how the survivor handles or doesn’t handle the pressure, the guilt and trying to enter back into a normal life. Rebecca thinks the kidnapper is back to get her however the police do not believe her and think she is paranoid. The only person she feels she can ask for help is Brody even though she broke his heart when she left him all those years ago. Brody is all grown up now. He has served in an elite military branch. He is now returned home and is running his ranch to heal/ rehabilitate horses. Rebecca, Brody and some friends work to solve the mystery of who took Shane. There are several characters in the book I would enjoy reading their story so I am really looking forward to this series.
Violence Someone is after them. Discussions of the kidnapping.
Language
Sexual Kissing
Drug & Alcohol I think they may have drank when they met as a group. nothing to distract from the story.
