Her first year away is turning out to be nearly perfect, but one weekend of giving in to heated passion will change everything
Eighteen-year-old Harper has grown up under the thumb of her career marine father. Ready to live life her own way and to experience things she’s only ever heard of from the jarheads in her father’s unit, she’s on her way to college at San Diego State University.
Thanks to her new roommate, Harper is introduced to a world of parties, gorgeous guys, family, and emotions. She finds herself being torn in two as she quickly falls in love with both her new boyfriend, Brandon, and her roommate’s brother, Chase. Despite their dangerous looks and histories, both men adore Harper and would do anything for her, including taking a step back if it would mean she’d be happy.

Summary
Overall Molly McAdams tells amazing stories, too, ut be warned, this review contains somewhat of a spoiler. They will gut you if you are inclined to fall in love with the characters you read, as I am. Take, for example, Taking Chances. A good girl, a bad boy, a constant clash between the two to the point of an anxiety attack for the
reader if the two can’t figure out some way to be together, and, utoh... another guy enters and makes this seem an impossibility. Then, just when you think this story is going to work out the way you so desperately hope it will...BAM! A completely unexpected complication occurs. Guys, I can’t lie. This one made me cry out loud even to the point that my family teased me about becoming so emotionally involved with my storybook characters, but I truly could not avoid it. McAdams gives you problematic characters with difficult circumstances and makes you go from not liking them to loving them then pulls the rug out from under you. It is a really good story, but don’t read it unless you want your heart broken. Review by Noti.
