#1 NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER
Imagine a year without Christmas. No crowded malls, no corny office parties, no fruitcakes, no unwanted presents. That’s just what Luther and Nora Krank have in mind when they decide that, just this once, they’ll skip the holiday altogether. Theirs will be the only house on Hemlock Street without a rooftop Frosty, they won’t be hosting their annual Christmas Eve bash, they aren’t even going to have a tree. They won’t need one, because come December 25 they’re setting sail on a Caribbean cruise. But as this weary couple is about to discover, skipping Christmas brings enormous consequences–and isn’t half as easy as they’d imagined.
A classic tale for modern times, Skipping Christmas offers a hilarious look at the chaos and frenzy that have become part of our holiday tradition.

Summary
Skipping Christmas by John Grisham 2001 177 pages Whether you read this as an annual tradition at Christmas time or just read it once this quick read is a lot of fun. Christian or otherwise most can relate to the holiday rush. As an adult you've either been there (if your kids are teenagers or older) or you will get there (if you plan on having kids or have younger kids). The stress, the hub bub of the holidays and what can become a sprint full of spending and everything associated with getting \"ready\" for Christmas and what it does to the parents can be AWFUL! Not to be preachy but yes, we sometimes lose what the meaning is supposed to be. This is a fun fast recollection, a chance to laugh at ourselves and reminisce. Make it part of your tradition.
