Someone in Bridal Veil, Oregon, will go to any lengths—even murder—to keep her from making the B and B a success. Sheriff’s deputy Archer Reed has made it his personal mission to bring down the culprit. But first he has to convince Emily to accept his protection…and determine why anyone would want to harm her. As Emily’s unknown enemy becomes increasingly violent, Archer may be the only person who can keep her alive.

Summary
Silent Sabotage is part of the First Responder series by Susan Sleiman. The book will grab your attention with the opening scene. We have a shooter who has taken Emily hostage and he straps a bomb vest on her. Emily has moved to a small town to help her aunt who is suffering from Alzheimer's. Emily has left her life and is investing her entire savings and helping try to save Birdies bed-and-breakfast. The B&B holds a lot of meaning to both of them and has a lot of memories. It's a wonderful story of Emily and Aunt Birdie and the emotional toil that Alzheimer's can take on the family. It was a captivating second storyline to someone trying to kill Emily. Archer is one of the first responders he meets Emily when she's being held hostage. He is determined to keep her safe as other things start happening. There are several suspects for the incidents that keep happening to Emily. Definitely action packed story. There is an underlining theme of letting go and learning to trust God with your life. Both Emily and Archer have baggage from their pasts that they have to overcome. If you've been following the series you also get to see some of the other first responders from other books in the series.
