Summary
Overall Shadow Kiss is Vampire Academy book three in which Rose meets the Moroi queen Tatiana who is not at all pleased with Rose’s relationship with Adrien. In fact,
Tatiana has plans for Adrien and Rose’s Moroi, Lissa, to be together. While Rose struggles with this revelation, Lissa is abducted by magic users. When Rose rescues Lissa, she realizes that Lissa’s gift of Spirit can leave a negative residual effect. Rose tells Lissa to let these dark emotions flow through her and into Rose flow through their connection and into Rose. Lissa obeys. Dimitri comforts Rose, who is left distraught by Spirit’s results, and their relationship moves to the next level. The Strigoi continue their attacks on Moroi, and, ultimately, Dimitri is attacked and goes missing. Everybody knows that a Strigoi bite transforms its victim to Strigoi, but Rose refuses to believe that is Dimitri’s fate, and she decides to look for him.
