Summary
This entertaining, seesawing, yo¬yoing, delightfully comedic story was a little hard to take seriously until serious feelings between two starcrossed lovers seemed doomed to go up in smoke again. . . . and again . .. and again. Aspiring actress Piper Brindle is not about to let her chance at stardom go overboard when her almost fiance appears as a guest aboard the historic River King riverboat. Cy Franco cannot believe his own eyes when he spies Piper Brindle peeping through his tiny port hole; a ghost from his past, a figment of his imagination, wasn't she? She had to be. When Cy is forced to use his interior design capabilities to restore portions of the aging ship(due to a little water¬left¬running¬inhis¬cabin incident), Piper and her oncethieving Uncle Boris, seem to be everywhere; even staying as guests in his family inn, while Piper strives to impress a conniving talent scout with her theater skills aboard ship. Calamity seems to follow the couple at every turn, personal possessions go missing from the ships's guests, a beloved family member nearly loses his life, and an historic mystery waits to be solved. Will this second chance at love receive a round of applause or have too many miscues been spoken for Piper and Cy to be anything but a miserable dress rehearsal? There is quite a bit of adventure within the pages of \"Sailing in Style\".
