Summary
Overall Barbara Branden's biography of Ayn Rand makes for good reading. I'm a fan of Rand's philosophy, Objectivism, but I didn't know much about her personal life, only what I read from Peikoff, Rand's legal heir. What I got from them felt sanitized. Branden's book gets into a little more \"dirt\" if you will. Reading it did not diminish my regard for Objectivism, nor of Rand, but it did provide a better look into her personal life. Branden and her husband Nathaniel were devoted students of Objectivism and in her inner circle. Without giving away the details, things got weird. If you are a fan of Objectivism and/or Rand, read this book. Review provided by Danno.
