Summary
Overall The Nurse's Secret Suitor was a delight to read. The chemistry between Kate and Caleb and Kate and BB was enough for me to rate this 5 stars. Then you add the scenes with Tia and it is a must read. Cheryl writes more than just a sweet romance between Caleb and Kate, she entertains you with scenes straight out of your kitchen. (If you haven't created the scooter or the tea set, the author has instructions on her facebook page.) Caleb will remind you of Dean Cain from Lois and Clark. Geeky, clumsy and insecure in his interactions with her until he puts on the cape. When he runs into the light pole I was cracking up and the bicycle he rode through town! Caleb was the hero you cannot help but fall in love with. Kate is trying to be wonder woman and keep it all together as her parents tell her they want to divorce, her grandpa is dying and her best friend is getting married. She finds the ability to share her weaknesses with a stranger (the masked zorro) she thinks she will never see again. The story dealt with some serious issues (divorce, death, proving oneself worthy) in addition to all the fun. Cheryl creates the most realistic, sweet and touching children
characters in her books. Tia was absolutely precious whether she was having a tea party with Caleb or wondering why her mom left her.
