When the ever practical Caroline Cabot first hears those words from the lips of her fanciful youngest sister, she accuses Portia of having a wild imagination.
But when she discovers their sister Vivienne is actually being courted by Adrian Kane, the mysterious viscount rumored to be a vampire, she decides to accept his invitation to a midnight supper and do some sleuthing of her own. To both her delight and her dismay, she soon finds herself falling under Kane’s bewitching spell.

Summary
Overall After Midnight is a historical romance with a vampire twist. Caroline the practical older sister is trying to determine if her younger sister is about to marry a vampire. Adrian is rumored to be a vampire; he is not seen out in the daylight but wonders around After Midnight. Caroline has to battle her growing attraction to Adrian although she suspects he will propose to her sister Vivienne. Vivienne seems to have feelings for the constable who is harassing Adrian. Then you have Portia who has feelings for Adrian's brother Julian. Truly a fun story with romance, humor and some interesting plot twists. Portia and Julian have their own book too.
Violence There are some past deaths that are discussed but no details.
Language There is some profanity; no f words.
