Summary
Makai United is book three in the Makai series. It could be read alone but I would highly recommend reading it within the series to appreciate the character development. In Makai United, Moho is still at war with Queen Tessa, Kupua and their underwater community. He has a new weapon that is causing havoc both in the water and on land. Kupua has still not given up that his brother Moho will be redeemed. I love the relationship between Tessa and Kupua and all of their underwater friends. Kupua is protective of her at the same time he honors her place as queen.
In Makai United you get both a family story and an action adventure. One minute you're swept into the drama of babies being born, weddings, and family drama. The next minute you're holding your breath and your heart is beating fast with the suspense as they fight Moho and the LuaPele. The adventures occur both under the sea and on land. Kele is busy using his healing abilities. An underlying theme of Makai United is forgiveness, perseverance and spiritual warfare.
Sexual Content: kissing, sex behind closed doors with a married couple,
Violence: underwater fighting, fighting the LuaPele, someone dies,
