Summary
Reviewer Name: CPennington Another great book in the Power of the Matchmaker series. It is a story about a young girl whose circumstances change from a life of privilege to a life in a small town with no financial independence. In a time of arranged marriages, Nelle is facing a loveless marriage. Then the awful news came that her parents had been killed in a carriage accident. Nelle went to live with her Aunt in a small Connecticut town. Still greatly mourning her parents, Nelle had to adapt to an aunt who kept tabs of everything she ate or used in the house for payment once Nelle came into her inheritance. Then she became reacquainted with Matthew, an acquaintance from her childhood and the fiancé of her cousin Alice. Both fight the forbidden love blooming within, but the Matchmaker has different plans.
