Summary
Comfortably secluded in her hometown of Oxford, Mississippi, Sarah Beth Le Clair is maintaining the equilibrium of her life by a fragile thread. Suffering extreme anxiety after a traumatic accident, she left those painful memories behind her in Los Angeles, California, and is content to live a quiet life in Oxford; teaching classes at a local university and continuing to work as a nationally recognized advertising agent from her home office. Enter Jess McCloy; offensive coordinator for the university football team and a man on a mission . . . . become acquainted with the lovely professor.
What begins as an innocent invitation to join Jess and his friends for an afternoon of water skiing, deepens into a growing attraction between both of them. Sarah knows that a man with Jess' talent won't remain in Oxford forever, and Sarah has convinced herself that she can never leave. Can God possibly create "beauty from these ashes"?
"Leaving Oxford" is quite an enjoyable read, with an intriguing sub-story that is destined to make a wonderful sequel.
