Summary
In the killer’s sites by Sandra Robbins is part of the Smokey Mountain Secrets series. Each book can be read alone. I typically hate a book where the woman has held the secret that she had a baby from the father. I felt this was one of the best thought out stories for that scenario. Gwen is a photographer and witnesses someone dumping a body in a river and the killer knows it. Dean is her ex-husband and finds out that she is in town. He promises to keep her save until they find the killer. Dean became an alcoholic during their marriage which led to their divorce. The author did a great job of creating scenarios where both characters actions seemed realistic. Faith is woven throughout the book and a message of forgiveness. I was sad when we learned who the body in the river was and shocked. My one pet peeve was that I thought she should have checked on her daughter a little more.
Sexual content - memories from their marriage, kissing,
Violence - murder, someone is trying to kill her
Alcohol use - Dean is a recovered alcoholic
