Dear Cici and Father,
I have come to Devon and married a duke. And I’m more tired and hungry than I have ever been in my life. Please let me come home.
Compromised and wedded on the same day, Lady Miranda was fast finding married life not to her taste. A decaying manor and a secretive husband were hardly the stuff of girlish dreams. Yet every time she looked at dark, brooding Marcus Radwell, Duke of Haughleigh, she felt inexplicably compelled—and determined—to make their marriage real!

Summary
Overall I felt the opening scene with his mother was humorous. Not sure if it was supposed to be. It seemed like a silly reason to have to marry. Miranda was an interesting character; I liked how she took charge of the house but was disappointed in how she handled his brother. I felt like we were missing some romance to lead up to the two physical scenes. I liked how the situation with the brother was handled at the end. Overall it was a decent book but not memorable.
Violence I don't recall any violence. some unwanted attention is all.
