The towering iceberg drifting in the North Atlantic was a floating tomb. Embedded in the great gleaming mass was a ship – sealed in so solidly that not even its mast protruded.
Here was a sea mystery to rank alongside the Bermuda Triangle and the Marie Celeste. But for Major Dirk Pitt, top troubleshooter for the National Underwater and Marine Agency, it was also the first link in a fantastic chain of events that would lead him too close – and too often – to violent death. And to the discovery of the most sinister and bizarre conspiracy of the century . . . ICEBERG.

Summary
Overall Iceberg by Clive Cussler 225 pages published in 1975. Second in the Dirk Pitt stories. An interesting note about the author. Clive Cussler is in many ways, Dirk Pitt. Cussler and his team have actually recovered or rediscovered over 60 historical ships or ship wrecks so that subject matter of his books is near and dear to him and he is quite knowledgeable. Pitt and NUMA are called in when a luxury yacht, on it’s way to a secret meeting at the White House is found frozen in an iceberg. All aboard are dead. The hero and team must stop a madman in his plot for global domination by ruining the world’s economy. Fast and fun read.
