Summary
Overall I love reading novel series! And I hate reading novel series. I love reading novel series because there is usually so much great story, and it gets to go on and on . . . at least longer than one book's worth. But I hate reading novel series because the story eventually comes to an end. And sometimes when the story comes to an end, it is just too soon because I am not done loving the characters and learning about their lives. That's when I know it was a welldone novel series. And that is how I would describe Janette Oke's Canadian West series. The fourth book, When Hope Springs New, leaves me wanting to carry on with Wynn and Elizabeth. What great hardships were endured on the early frontier! Yet endure they did as they lived out their love for God and their love for each other amongst the Indians of the far north Canadian territories. You won't want to miss this final book . . . even if it leaves you wanting more!
