Ebony has always known that she is different. Her violet eyes mark her out, and her protective parents have kept her in a gorgeous valley, home-schooled, safe from everything – almost as if she’s being hidden. But she’s changing: glowing, getting more and more beautiful, and stronger than anyone knows. Ebony can’t stay hidden for ever, and when she meets complicated, intense Jordan, something explodes inside her – something that can be seen from the heavens; something that changes everything. Ebony is a stolen angel, concealed on Earth. Now the heavens have found her, they want her back.

Summary
Reviewer Name : Stormi Johnson Hidden is the first book in a new trilogy by Marianna Curley and the first book by this author that I have read. Now I don't normally do Angel books, but I decided to give this one a try. The author tried to make hers not have anything to do with what we would normally associate with Angels. These angels came from Avena and the Dark Angels came from Skades. Ebony has been home¬schooled up until High School and her parents decided to let her go to regular school. She has always been sheltered and tucked away and her best friend is the neighbor girl. Ebony knows she is a little different from everyone else but she doesn't know why. She is really strong, can run really fast and has great hearing. When her parents wouldn't let her go to a school dance she sneaks out and goes. Ebony has no clue that she is an Angel who was kidnapped when she was just a baby. Before even getting into the party she runs into Jordan and knocks him up against a brick wall. When she helps him up they have this huge connection. What she doesn't know is this explosive connection puts a beacon out for Angels to see. She feels an instant connection to Jordan, but then he gets lost in the crowd. Jordan wants to find his violet eyed beauty but when he can't find her some other things happen that ally him with Nathaneal, the Angel looking for Ebony. Nathaneal is not the only Angel looking for Ebony, the Dark Prince is also wanting Ebony. Prince Luca wants Ebony to be his Queen. When confronted with everything Ebony doesn't want to believe anyone, but she ends up in the middle of a war between the Angels from Avena and the Dark Prince from Skades. It's a lot to take in for a girl who has been hidden away for sixteen years. Ebony belongs with the King of Angels and they want her back but she also has free will and can choose where she wants to go. The Dark Prince uses this to her advantage, but there is also Jordan, the human who also wants her to be with him. I found the story line to be a lot like many paranormal type stories. The girl doesn't know who she is and then has to choose her destiny type thing. The author tried not to use God or the Devil, instead she uses The Kind of Angels and The Dark Prince. Their story lines were still the same if you know the story of how the devil falls from heaven, etc. I also understand that she is connected to Jordan because she was suppose to be his Guardian Angel and that she has a deep connection to Nathaneal because they were prearranged to be connected in the way that The King of Angels have their mates picked...but....I really hate insta¬luv!! They lock eyes and instantly they are in love type of thing just makes me gag! Over all, I thought it was an interesting story and I will read the next one in the trilogy. If you are a fan of Angel stories then you might want to check this one out.
