What do you like about this book:
"Everything is worse when faced alone."
Undercover Detective Cady Matthews has often felt alone, being the only child of parents whose main focus has, and always will be, money and prestige. Unfortunately, Cady is quite alone in a deserted alley; her life hanging in the balance with the odds being in her enemy's favor, save for her prowess with a ball and the hope that back-up will miraculously arrive in time to extract her from the wrath of a notorious West Coast gang leader.
Lantern Beach, North Carolina is a lovely place to serve solitary confinement and test a hidden identity. When Cady, now Cassidy Livingston, arrives to find that her temporary residency includes a garish pink ice cream truck and an annoying neighbor, she wonders just how long she can stand it. Then a body washes up on the beach, and Cassidy can't help herself, her sense of justice takes over, quite possibly putting her life at risk once again.
A nicely constructed crime novel, which appears to be just the tip of the iceberg to come!
