Summary
Susan Henshaw is a nice middle aged suburban housewife who happens to stumble on a lot of dead bodies. When she finds a man stabbed in the library on Halloween, she's prepared for the neighborhood rumor mill and she's prepared to help the police but she's unprepared for the death of a famous neighbor and how she ends up playing
nursemaid to the famous neighbor's wife. The plot is an excellent puzzle, the characters are three dimensional, and the picture of life in an affluent suburb is well drawn.
Drug & Alcohol Cocktail parties take place and people in shock are offered brandy.
