It’s been more than two years since homicide detective Livy Reynolds’s cousin disappeared from Logan Point. Unlike most people in her hometown, Livy has never believed that Robyn left voluntarily. When Dallas private investigator Alex Jennings contacts Livy concerning a missing senator’s daughter who was last seen in Logan Point, she notices eerie similarities between the two disappearances. But with self-doubt plaguing her and an almost instant dislike of Jennings, Livy is finding this investigation an uphill battle. With her future in law enforcement on the line, can she find a way to work with a man who is her polar opposite?
Award-winning author Patricia Bradley keeps readers on the edge of their seats as they anticipate the outcome of the case–and the relationship between Livy and Alex–which is anything but certain.

Summary
Not one, but two waitresses have disappeared from a popular Logan Point truck stop restaurant; simply without a trace. Robyn Martin\'s family has only received one disturbing correspondence from her in two years after the wife and mother of one mysteriously disappeared, Samantha Jo Woodson\' s high profile family fears the worst after the young woman virtually vanishes after a routine Saturday evening shift at Johnny B\'s. Senator Woodson hires Dallas private investigator Alex Jennings to find his granddaughter, sending Alex literally flying from Texas to the small town of Logan Point, Mississippi to pursue the case. Upon arrival in Logan Point, Alex is ironically connected to Robyn\'s family while staying at Kate Martin\'s bed and breakfast. There he meets Robyn\'s cousin, Olivia Reynolds, a homicide detective on personal leave from her department, after suffering the effects of traumatic stress. Teaming their skills and pooling their resources, Alex and Livy soon determine that the two disappearances are not only connected but part of a much larger circle of crimes. More than one local patron fits the description of a possible serial criminal and solving the case will demand risks on everyone\'s part to conceal what they know about the kidnapper before he strikes again. Ingenious twists and turns, coupled with a variety of suspects and a light dose of romance, make \"Gone Without a Trace\" a phenomenal suspense novel on multiple levels.
Violence The violence is around women being kidnapped and some murdered. One of the women is trying to overcome having been abducted. There are not graphic descriptions.
