Summary
Overall The Gods Themselves by Issac Asimov 288 pages published in 1972 Classic Science Fiction from a master. Assimov tells a story about aliens in a parallel, dying universe with different physical laws in it. The aliens try to exchange matter so that they might be able to take advantage of the differences. The exchange creates an energy source for the aliens but it also may have created a situation where earth’s sun will become a Super Nova. What happens to earth? Is this the fate of mankind? The book was originally published in Galaxy Magazine[4] as three consecutive stories. Asimov does some odd juxtiposition as ehe first chapter of the first part of the book is numbered Chapter 6 because the beginning of chapter 6 is somewhat of an intro to the real Chapter 1 and so on.
