Summary
Grace Fontaine moved to Paris, Tennessee to nurse a beloved aunt , Iris Brockwell, during her remaining months of life, never imagining that she might fall in love for a second time. A second time, because her first love, Jess Quinn, had disappeared and presumably drowned after pirates attacked the ship he was aboard while heading to London for a lucrative short ¬term job opportunity; the young couple had planned to get married when Jess returned to Boston. Jess Quinn finally arrives back in Boston after two years of prison in England; due to a mistaken identity. Imagine his angst when he discovers that his beautiful fiance is now engaged to another; in the small town of Paris, Tennessee. Jess travels to Paris and surprises Grace with the fact the he is still very much alive and intends on changing her mind about marrying the attractive young lawyer, Conrad Hall, who is not only outraged with Jess's appearance, but determined to oust him for Grace's hand in marriage. But is Conrad Hall exactly who he appears to be and will Grace be persuaded to shorten her engagement to Conrad so that her aunt may witness her upcoming nuptials? There is a lot to like about this story and \"Gift of Grace\" gives Sharlene MacLaren fans a wonderful addition to a very enjoyable series.
