Summary
The Doctor’s Fake Fiancé by Victoria James. I'm typically not a fan of fake fiancé stories but this one was a lot more about the relationship than the actual faking of the relationship in front of other people. Evan saved Grace and Christopher from a burning car accident and as a result lost his career as an ER doctor when his hand was burned. Approximately a year later Grace found Evan and wants to thank him for saving her son. Evan offers her a job and ask her to be his fake fiancé so that he can get a powerful job with a private company that is big on family. I'm also typically not a fan of women so down on their luck but this one was pretty well done. Even though she had no money, she had a very strong character and was a great mom. There were some really cute scenes of them working in the hometown doctor’s office. And some adorable scenes between Kevin and Christopher. Both of them had issues with their past that they had to overcome to trust people.
I'm suspect this book is part of a series because Evan has two brothers and both of them are married. It appeared as if maybe they have their own stories. However this book totally stood alone and I didn't feel like I missed anything because I had not read the other books.
Sexual Content: There were a couple of sex scenes but it was behind closed doors. However they were not married.
Language: a few instances of profanity
Alcohol: drinking at gala, he drinks a few times,
