Summary
Overall From the opening chapter, the reader knows the adventure has just begun. Who doesn’t want the hero to burst into the wedding riding a black horse to save the day? Teresa strikes a perfect balance between the romance, the mystery and humor. Emma was a fun character; I was so excited she actually pulled the trigger. Jamie was the perfect hero. The band of brothers added some quirky characters to round out the story. I am new to reading Teresa’s books; I will be reading more of
Violence The gamekeeper was a violent person. You find out what he did in the past and what he does in the present. Someone is shot. Talk of a fight between Ian
and Jamie. I didn't find any of the violence was disturbing.
Language There was some cursing. Nothing crude. The word b@st@rd was used as a result of Jamie's birth.
Sexual This one could be a 3 or 4. There are only two physical scenes and a couple scenes leading up to it. The two scenes did have a lot of detail and were well written;
not crude.
Drug & Alcohol Her dad drinks a lot. Some wine and whiskey. Nothing that took away from the story.
