Summary
Overall Into the Deep is the third and final book of the Rock Harbor series by Colleen Coble. While the books of the series could be read in any order, I suggest that
you read them in the order they were written as some previous events and relationships play an important role in fully understanding later books. Novel three of
the series is as riveting as the previous two, and continues to be written with a biblical worldview. The protagonist Bree Nicholls is faced with two very difficult issues which, of course, play a major part of the plot line. Honestly, I'm not sure how she can survive all the pressures that she does in these novels, but the
Lord and her strength of character pull her through…plus a certain handsome forest ranger named Kade Matthews. I have enjoyed the contemporary setting, the inclusion of using search and rescue dogs, and such things as drug research, Alzheimer's disease, infertility, step parenting, and dogfighting. You won't be bored when you read this book or any of the other books in the series. I wish the story of Bree Nicholls and her fellow book characters would continue on in another novel!
Violence Murders. Dogfighting. No graphic details to either one, but just the descriptions of the preparation of a dog for fighting is disturbing. Evil.
