Airport Ranger volunteer Stacy Broussard expected a peaceful Saturday morning ride around the perimeter of Houston’s airport. What she encounters instead is a brutal homicide and a baffling mystery. Summary
When veterinarian Stacy Broussard finds a dead body, an abandoned dog and a blood spattered motorcycle on her routine ride around a Houston airport, as a member of the airport volunteer rangers, she is devastated. FBI Special Agent Alex LeBlanc and his partner arrive when a downed military grade drone is also found near the immediate crime scene. Stacy and Alex politely tolerate each other as his initial questioning implies suspicion, but as the case becomes more complex and increasingly violent, the two form decide to form a friendly alliance.
When a few suspects gradually surface, they appear to be disconnected. Stacy's first priority is to protect Whitt, a boy for whom she is seeking parental custody, but when her own life is threatened it seems that she, Alex and Whitt have encountered a deadly enemy who will stop at nothing to accomplish his purposes. Can Alex protect the two people for whom his affections have grown?
