ONE OF LIBRARY JOURNAL‘S BEST THRILLERS OF THE YEAR
Charlene Grant believes she is going to die. For the past few years, her childhood friends have been murdered one by one. Same day. Same time. Now she’s the last of her friends alive, and she’s counting down the final four days of her life until January 21.
Charlene doesn’t plan on going down without a fight. She has taken up boxing, shooting, and running. She also wants Boston’s top homicide detective, D. D. Warren, to handle the investigation.
But as D.D. delves deeper into the case, she starts to question the woman’s story. Instinct tells her that Charlene may not be in any danger at all. If that’s true, the woman must have a secret—one so terrifying that it alone could be the greatest threat of all.

Summary
This is a D.D. Warren series book. D.D. is working on a case involving the murders of pedophiles and is contacted by a woman named Charlie who thinks she is going to be murdered soon. Her two best friends were each murdered on the same day in two different (consecutive) years, and Charlie believes she is the next to die. D.D. investigates and thinks the two cases may be related. A very good, quick read and pulls you into the narrative quickly, and has more of a surprise ending than many other mysteries.
Violence-Descriptions of murder scenes, some scenes of physical abuse
Language-Cursing throughout, I didn't feel that it dominated the book, though.
Sexual-The book does deal with pedophiles but I don't remember any detailed scenes of abuse, only of the murders of the pedophiles.
Drug & Alcohol-Some drinking and possibly a bit of drug use but minimal at most.
