Even though Anna knows that her mother act is only a scam, she knows that hiding that secret will only help hide her own secret. Anna can actually sense people's feelings and foretell the future. Oh, and if Anna's life couldn't get anymore stressful her mother claims that she is the illegitimate daughter of the famous magician Harry Houdini. Things begin to change when she realizes that her ability is gaining more strength and she is experiencing some unexplainable and frightening visions. When Anna runs into her neighbor Cole there is an automatic connection. Cole seems to understand her ability and introduces her to another world where other people have her same abilities. Will Anna be able to hide her secret from her mother? Will Anna and Cole's relationship grown into a romance? Is Anna really the daughter of Harry Houdini? One reason I really loved this book was the incorporation of the 1 920s and magic it made for a very interesting and fun book! It also allowed for many twist and turns in the book that you could never see coming! Enjoy!
