Summary
Overall This is my first book by this author who I met at the RT Book Convention. I am a fan of romantic suspense and decided to try this novel. The author does
a great job of building romantic tension between Zach and Jenna within the action packed adventure. Zach is the main hero but he calls in the help of his brothers when
they have nowhere else to go. Who doesn’t love a set of handsome, sexy, deadly brothers kicking some serious butt:). The author was able to keep several story lines going and hint at a family mystery while not confusing the reader. The main characters were multidimensional and the secondary characters were a great addition. Anne, the
mom and Sam were some of my favorite characters. My favorite line from the book: Jenna stepped to the stove, peering into the simmering pot. \"So, a man who can cook,
too? Are there any more surprises?\" Zach gave her a wicked wink. \"None with a G rating.\" The story reads very well as a standalone although part of a series. I plan to go back and read the first one and the Gabe’s story. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good romantic suspense.
Violence There is a lot of violence but it is not described in graphic detail. Discussions of domestic abuse, child abuse, several shootings, it is alluded to that girls are raped, and the ex-husband is an assassin. I was able to read this and be fine and I do not have a stomach for much violence or torture.
Language I don't recall any language. If there was any it did not distract from the story.
Sexual Great building of romantic tension.
Drug & Alcohol A few of the characters have a beer or whisky.
