It’s a
slow day for Helena Duncombe if she’s not scandalizing the ton with her
daring fashions and sharp wit. Enjoying herself makes it easier to hide a dark reality. A tragic turn
of events forces her to take refuge in
the last place on earth she belongs: a church.
Julian Grey wants everyone to believe he’s
a quiet country vicar, but Helena
discovers his secret. He never expected her
to help catch a traitor to the crown, and he’s even more shocked to discover she has quite a talent for it. But

Summary
Overall Beauty and the SpyMaster is a historical romance that compliments Song for Sophia. They can be read as stand alone books however I recommend reading
both of them. We met Helena in Song for Sophia and I did not have a good impression of her. In Beauty and the Spymaster you get her history and her side of the story. You do not realize what she had been dealing with and why she made the decisions she made. In the opening scene your heart is racing as she is trying to escape he
abusive husband and climb the fence. She finds sanctuary in the abby with the vicar and his mom. The vicar, Julian is more than she bargain for. He is a spy and knows of her reputation. The final scene lines up with the final scenes from Song for Sophia however they are from Julian and Helena’s perspective. If you are a fan of historical
romance, I highly recommend Moriah.
