Lacey Yeager is young, captivating, and ambitious enough to take the NYC art world by storm. Groomed at Sotheby’s and hungry to keep climbing the social and career ladders put before her, Lacey charms men and women, old and young, rich and even richer with her magnetic charisma and liveliness. Her ascension to the highest tiers of the city parallel the soaring heights–and, at times, the dark lows–of the art world and the country from the late 1990s through today.

Summary
This is a great book! It centers around a young woman named Lacey who is working at Sotheby's in NYC. She is determined to succeed in the art world at any cost. It is written from the perspective of a man who once loved Lacey and got caught up in her climb to the top. It gives a lot of history about art and the art world. Steve Martin (the actor) is a very good, detailed writer and I really enjoy his books.
Violence-No violence that I can recall
Language-Cursing throughout the book
Sexual-Several sex scenes, does not dominate book and is not too graphic
Drug & Alcohol-Drinking and some drug use
