What do you like about this book:
"She wanted to prove herself . . . . "
Kate Sullivan has just been handed the biggest opportunity of her law career when a judge appoints her as the lead council in a multi-plaintiff lawsuit against a powerful drug manufacturer, Mason Pharmaceutical Company. It becomes clear that gathering any manner of evidentiary documents, proving that the company withheld test results from the public about dangerous side effects from the popular migraine drug Celix, is going to be difficult, unless a "whistle blower" surfaces who can stay alive long enough to be a witness.
Former Army Ranger Landon James has turned his combat experience into a career; he earns a living as a private investigator and responds to Kate's request for security during her trial preparation. Immediately impressed by the lovely lawyer's honest work ethic and deep desire to serve her clients' best interests, Landon and Kate forge the beginnings of a friendship, which is quickly put to the test after it becomes obvious that someone at M.P.C. wants Kate to back off their case.
Rachel Dylan has packaged this legal suspense with very likable characters whose inner and outer bumps and bruises have only made them stronger.
I received a copy of this book from the author and publisher. The opinions stated are entirely my own.
