One of the highlights of the my trip to Christian Booksellers Association was interviewing Anita Brooks and finding out she lives just up the road from us. Anita Brooks is a speaker, coach and author of several books including How to Get Through What You Cannot Get Over and First Hired, Last Fired.  Anita was so gracious and introduced us to several of her friends when we joined her for lunch.

Anita’s interview is one you will want to bookmark to watch over and over again.  The insights she shares can be life changing from how to get through hurt to her tip for your marriage.  She will tell you she has been through the valley and has developed an even deeper compassion / passion for helping people.  I will also strongly state that she has the God given talent to help people where they are.  Enjoy!

Getting Through What You Can’t Get Over: Stories, Tips, and Inspiration to Help You Move Past Your Pain into Lasting Freedom:

There are some things in life people never get over. No matter how much they want to. Many experience abuse, financial disaster, serious illness, death of loved ones, and other common traumas making them believe they’ll never move past the pain, but through research and true story compilations, author Anita Agers-Brooks offers emotional, practical, and spiritual insights from experts and people who have survived intense trauma—and have made it through seemingly impossible situations.

First Hired, Last Fired:

People want security, yet we’re told in today’s work environment that everyone is replaceable. But is it true? Today’s employee faces terror at the prospect of finding a new job or losing their existing one. Today’s employer risks annihilation at the hands of an ever-tightening economy.

Others believe what we do more than what we say. When people watch you work, what do they say about you? “No one could do it better.” Or “It’s time to find a replacement.”

There’s a natural consequence for every choice we make. What outcome are you choosing through your behaviors at work?

What if you could make a difference, and missed the opportunity? My book, First Hired, Last Fired — How to Become Irreplaceable in Any Job Market, will help you secure a solid position doing the work you were created to do. You CAN become irreplaceable.

It’s never too late for a Fresh Start with Fresh Faith at work!
