Summary
Christmas Conspiracy by Susan Sleeman. This is the final book in the “First Responders” series, and each one has been enjoyable. The book grabs your attention from the first scenes as someone is trying to kidnap a baby from Rachel's daycare.
Rachel has a very sad backstory. She lost her husband and had a miscarriage all within a year. Jake is the leader of the First Responders. They both struggled with fear and being unable to trust, even God. They deal with guilt and try to make up for it by dedicating their lives to helping others. They connect and understand each other well. I felt a connection between them from the beginning.
Christmas Conspiracy stands alone however fans of the series will be thrilled with some of the scenes at the house when all of the characters are together. And there may be a little surprise for some of them.
The book is suspenseful and had me guessing the whole time as to who wanted to kidnap baby Kelly and why. The author surprised me; which I absolutely loved.
