Thin Ice by Irene Hannon
My rating: 5 of 5 stars
Thin Ice by Irene Hannon is hard to put down. I was halfway through the book and had no idea if Ginny was alive or not. I am a huge fan of Irene Hannon and consider this one of her best books. The characters are likable and real.
Christy was an ice skater who has recently lost her parents and her sister. Lance is an ex Delta Force operator now a rookie on the FBI team in St Louis. I loved Lance’s character. Hannon made him real, with an interesting back story, good family relationships, and the ability to overcome his pride/ego and think logically.
The villain is creepy and crazy. Several times I felt the fear of the grandmother as to what he would do to her next.
Hannon has a unique ability to create just enough detail that you feel you are in the story but not so much detail that it bogs down the main storyline.
I highly recommend Thin Ice. If you are looking for an awesome writer. I highly recommend Hannon.
