On the one hand, there’s Alicia Kinsey, driven by her father’s machinations into husband hunting, with her cap firmly set on Ian Morissey, a nice enough fellow up from the country. On the other hand, there’s Elizabeth, a fey creature who roams the halls of the ancestral home at night and meets Rogue, a masked spy investigating the baron who is Alicia’s father.
How many people are there in the story, though? When Alicia and Ian are forced into unwilling marriage, will Elizabeth and Rogue be left behind with broken hearts?
A fast-paced romance with likeable characters and some steamy scenes, this Regency novel has plenty of anachronisms and implausible plot twists, but is still a fun read.
