I want to thank Donna and the folks and More Than a Review for having me on here today.

It’s my first day of my week long blog tour, telling everybody about my 5th book, The Afterlife of Lizzie Monroe.

Wow, I still can’t believe it’s my 5th book!

The best way to describe Lizzie is as a ‘Civil War/Contemporary/Historical/Inspirational/Zombie/Romantic Epic.’

Yeah… so what does that mean to you? I decided to make a top 10 list of things that describe what ‘exactly’ I mean when I say that. Inspiration if you will.

The Top 10
Things You Need to Know about LIZZIE MONROE:

10. Lizzie is a bit of a ‘zombie’ (don’t stop reading…) I totally fangirled over ‘Zombie George Washington’ from Sleepy Hollow. I was all, “SEE!!! I’m not the only person with a zombie in their story!” lol Not all undead things are evil and eat brains. Like ‘Zombie George’, Lizzie is here for a higher purpose.

9. Historical Romance: 1/3 of LIZZIE is set in 1861/62

8. Contemporary Romance: 2/3 of LIZZIE is set in present day Dixon, TN.
7. Freddy Krueger– Go with me here… LIZZIE’s rhyme at the beginning of the book was inspired by ‘One Two Freddy’s coming for you….’ *shivers* I won’t show a picture of him. FREAKY!
Here’s MY Version:
Lonely Lizzie full of strife
In the barn, she took her life.
Go there now and count to three
Lonely Lizzie you will see.
7. Inspirational: Sure, Lizzie is technically a zombie. She doesn’t breathe and she has no heartbeat. She also is a girl who killed herself because her fiancé died in the Civil War and she desperately wishes she hadn’t.  In the middle of all of this paranormal stuff is the real meat of the story, suicide is a permanent solution to a normally temporary problem. I want people who read this book to be entertained but also inspired.
6. Shane has a twin sister. If I had a guess… I’d guess she looks a lot like this…

5. Shane Davis is a bit of a bad boy– okay, he’s a LOT of a bad boy. The man burned the church down after all.
4. THIS… You need to know this….

*ouch*
3. Shane Davis is a drummer… and therefore has really cool drummer hair.

2. It is basically a love triangle between Daniel (1861)/Lizzie/Shane (2014)… in a really weird, super cool way. You’ll have to read it to find out how exactly.
1. It’s scary. It’s fun. It’s romantic. It’s heartbreaking. It’s loving. It’s ‘what just happened!’. It’s amazing. It’s exciting. It’s suspenseful. It’s charming. It’s clean. It’s funny. It’s bittersweet. It’s a love story. It’s about forgiveness. It’s about second chances. It’s about life. And the afterlife. Basically… it’s an epic 🙂
