Tina DeSalvo

I’d like to say a great big thank you to author Tina DeSalvo for agreeing to an author interview with me after a very long day at the conference and a very busy book signing.  In addition, we conducted a Facebook Live interview.  Tina’s personal life is as eventful as one of her fiction books.   To find out more, be sure to watch Tina’s interview and check out her books.  I recommend starting with Ellie.

Surprisingly Tina is an extrovert which I found to be the minority within the author community.    Once you read her bio you will understand why she is a natural in front of the camera.

More About Tina:

Tina spent  25 plus year journalism career focusing on what other people were doing.  She is now launching her fiction writing career and she feels it has been a long time coming.

Tina grew up in one of the distinctive neighborhoods of New Orleans  It was after graduation from college that she moved into Cajun Country to take a job as a broadcast journalist. She started her broadcasting career as a play-by-play football and basketball sports announcer and anchor at a small market television station. Tina has  been told that she was the first female to do so in Louisiana.

The people and places of Louisiana inspired her Second Chance Novel series. Tina grew up in the suburbs of New Orleans, only minutes from the French Quarter. She moved to Cajun Country after college to take a job as a broadcast journalist. Like New Orleans had, the area offered Tina’s creative author heart inspiration for her writing with its rich culture, unique traditions and interesting people. Her Second Chance Novel series includes Elli, Jewell, and Abby full length novels and fun novellas- Hunt for Christmas and Last Chance in Vegas (Romantic Times in Vegas Vol.3), and Out-lanta. In addition, the  Nutcracker Reimagined, a Christmas Collection is available.

Special Note:

Tina is a stage 3 breast cancer survivor. In her journey to fight the deadly disease, she found Elli’s journey. Tina used her fears, emotions, triumphs and those of the people fighting cancer alongside of her, to create Elli’s story when Elli redefines her life after cancer in that wonderful, difficult, joyful, fearful time after the treatment ends. Tina wants you to know that all of the author proceeds for  Elli, the Second Chances Series,  will be donated to help women who are fighting breast cancer with important needs that is unmet by other means.
