Inn at Oceans EdgeClaire’s visit to a luxury hotel in Maine awakens repressed memories, threatening all she holds dear. In 1989, Claire Dellamare disappeared from her own fourth birthday party at the Hotel Tourmaline on the island of Folly Shoals, Maine. She showed up a year later at the same hotel, with a note pinned to her dress but no explanation. Nobody knows where Claire spent that year—and until now, Claire didn’t even know she had ever been missing. But when Claire returns to the Hotel Tourmaline for a business meeting with her CEO father, disturbing memories begin to surface . . . despite her parents’ best efforts to keep them forgotten. Luke Rocco lost his mother under equally mysterious circumstances—at the same time Claire disappeared. After a chance encounter reveals the unlikely link between them, Claire and Luke set out together to uncover the truth about what happened that fateful year. With flashbacks swimming just beneath her consciousness and a murderer threatening her safety, Claire’s very life depends on unscrambling her past . . . even if her family refuses to acknowledge it. Someone—maybe everyone—is hiding something from Claire Dellamare, and it will cost her everything to drag the truth out into the light.

donna update headshotDonna’s Review:

The Inn at Ocean’s Edge is book 1 in the Sunset Cove series. Claire arrives at Hotel Tourmaline and starts experiencing repressed memories. She learns that she disappeared on her fourth birthday party and wasn’t found until a year later, when she showed up at the hotel with a note pinned to her dress. Her parents do not want to discuss it and her grandmother (who I adored) said it was best that her parents tell her. Claire meets Luke and his sister Megan while they are saving an Orca. Great subplot in the story. Luke and Megan’s mother has been missing since the night Claire disappeared. Luke and Claire team up to investigate the situation. Surprising plot twists create a very fine story that is as unusual as it is entertaining. There are those books that grab you and do not let go…. The Inn at Ocean’s Edge is one of those. I read it in ONE DAY! Thankfully my husband was traveling so I didn’t have to cook dinner. I really think it might be one of the best books Colleen has written and that is saying a lot! I received a complimentary copy of this book through the Litfuse blogging program in exchange for my honest review,
