Her book Strong and Courageous was born out of her desire to help others with caring for a child with autism. As a result of her extensive experience as a counselor and her own experiences with a grandchild with autism, Stephanie provides practical advice. In addition she takes you through all of the stages from diagnosis to long term planning.

Stephanie wants to encourage the families of autistic children.  In addition, she wants to help extended family and communities to support autistic children and families.

Stephanie wrote the book in devotional form with short chapters. It also includes questions at the end of each chapter for discussion or to provoke your own thoughts.
