Over 800 faithful volunteers in 29 states, and 1000 plus therapy dogs ready to respond when called upon.
If you are a fan of our page you know my husband and I are dog lovers. So you are not surprised that when Ron Leonard asked if I wanted to interview him and Molly, I didn’t even hesitate. Ron and Molly attended the CBA Unite conference in Nashville which is where we conducted our interview. Molly is a Canines for Christ dog. She brings joy to adults and children that are hurting. I would encourage you to watch my interview with Ron and Molly; well Ron did most of the talking. In addition, you will find a plethora of information on their website from the benefits of a compassion dog to how you can join them or donate to their cause. On their website, they share some touching images of the dogs in action.
More about Ron and Molly
Molly was a rescue dog left out in 18 degree weather to die with her mom and we adopted her at 6 weeks old. From the start we knew God had special plans for this precious dog. In 2012 Marilyn and I found out about the ministry of Canines For Christ and became volunteers. Since that day Molly has been over 2500 visits bringing joy and laughter to all those she meets. She is the crisis response canine for our Nashville, TN Fire Dept. and a regular visitor to our 911 dispatchers in TN, AL, and KY. I am now a chaplain with Canines For Christ and am “On Call” as the Lord directs.
In 2017 we started reaching out to our 911 dispatchers and first responders across the nation. This is a much needed ministry to our “Hidden Heroes” that protect and serve us on a daily basis. If you are interested in serving in this capacity please email me and I can assist.
Because Every Life Eternally Matters,
Chaplain Ron ( Along with Marilyn and Molly)
