Bounty hunter Stephanie Plum has trouble keeping her life together at the best of times, and Valentine’s Day is not — at least this year — the best of times. In addition to the cop-next-door Morelli and the mysterious black-clad Ranger, Stephanie also has to deal with Diesel, a possibly paranormal hunk who shows up unexpectedly in her apartment without any apparent need to open doors.

Stephanie is on the trail of Annie Hart, a violent bail-jumper wanted for assault. Diesel is willing to help her out, but only if Stephanie will do a little matchmaking on the side. Seems Annie Hart, in addition to her work in armed robbery, is also a relationship coach, with a few clients who really need help — fast.

The book is fast-paced, fun, and funny. A little over the top if you insist on realism, but if you can suspend your disbelief and have fun with it, this book is a hoot. Evanovich wrote fluffy romances before she hit the bestseller lists, and Plum Lovin’ pokes a little gentle fun at the genre. There’s even a wedding! Enjoy it for Valentine’s Day.
