Have you seen Hamilton and walked out moved in a way you didn’t understand. In his book, God and Hamilton, Kevin Cloud explains why that may be. Even though I have not seen Hamilton, I was still enthralled by Kevin’s thoughts on God and Hamilton. Kevin sees several themes that correlate between Christianity and Hamilton. To be more specific ,those themes are grace, shame, brokenness, forgiveness, death, and ultimately redemption. Now that I have shared those you may recall seeing them in Hamilton’s story. Kevin discusses this more in-depth in our interview from CBA Unite 2018 in Nashville.
Surprisingly, I found Kevin’s life as interesting as Hamilton’s. Kevin has planted and pastored four churches in the Kansas City area. Since I know a little about the city, it impressed me greatly. After interviewing Kevin, I would definitely attend his church if I lived in the KC area.
